APOS – Bali, Indonesia– A+E Networks is expanding the scope of its partnership with Super Network/Tohokushisha (TFC) and restructuring the ownership of its joint venture with Super Network and The History Channel Japan (THCJ), it was announced at the Asia Pacific Pay-TV Operators Summit (APOS) by Sean Cohan, President, International and Digital Media, A+E Networks.
A+E Networks will increase its stake in THCJ from 50 percent to 80 percent. The new investment marks a significant expansion of the partnership that includes injecting a suite of new digital rights along with a commitment to fully support TFC’s OTT initiatives in Japan. In addition, A+E will add to THJC’s brand offerings for Japanese consumers and partner on future productions.
