Singapore – Sports fans can look forward to two more sports channels on Singtel TV – ELEVEN and ELEVEN SPORTS – offering customers access to even more of the hottest sporting action from around the world.
ELEVEN is a channel dedicated to the best in football action, offering extensive live HD coverage of the top European leagues and cup competitions. The channel will feature premier picks of live action from the channel’s extensive host of properties such as Serie A, FA Cup and Capital One Cup as well as the latest international football news, magazine and highlights shows.
ELEVEN SPORTS will offer a top notch line-up of premium sports content including tennis, rugby, basketball, volleyball, cycling, and handball, expanding the array of sports previously available to Singtel TV viewers.
“We are pleased to be the first in Singapore to offer these power-packed new channels to our customers,” said Goh Seow Eng, MD, Home, Consumer Singapore. “We strive to offer a comprehensive buffet of sports content for fans in Singapore, and will continue to seek out the content that viewers want.”
ELEVEN and ELEVEN SPORTS will be available for free preview till 23 August, which means football fans will be able to catch the live action of the pre-season Emirates Cup (25-26 July) featuring the likes of home team Arsenal, Olympique Lyonnais, Villarreal and VfL Wolfsburg this weekend.
Fans of FA Cup holders Arsenal and supporters of reigning Barclays Premier League title holders Chelsea will also be delighted to know that they can catch the traditional curtain raiser to the English football season – the FA Community Shield on 2 August, during this free preview period exclusively on ELEVEN as well.
Both channels are available at no additional cost to customers who currently subscribe to the mio Sports channels. Simulcast games on ELEVEN and ELEVEN SPORTS will be shown on mio Sports whenever there are multiple matches being played at the same time. All three channels will be available on Singtel’s award-winning app Singtel TV GO.
With the addition of the new channels, there will be changes to the Singtel TV channel numbering, illustrated in the table below. Effective from 24 July, ELEVEN is on Singtel TV channel 109, ELEVEN SPORTS on channel 110 and mio Stadium on Demand will be shifted to channel 132.
