Cannes – Independent studio Entertainment One (eOne) has secured multiple international deals for new dramas emerging from its exclusive multi-year output deal with the network including AMC’s Turn and Halt and Catch Fire and SundanceTV’s The Red Road as well as some of AMC Network’s most compelling series such as Hell on Wheels and the zombie-ratings phenomenon The Walking Dead, announced by Prentiss Fraser, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales & Acquisitions, eOne Television International on April 7.
In just months after signing the output deal with AMC Networks, eOne sold Halt and Catch Fire to CANAL+ and Turn to OCS in France; while all three drama series were licensed by C More in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland for exclusive pay rights; HBO Nordic in Scandinavia (SVOD); TV2 in Norway; and yes DBS Satellite Services in Israel. eOne closed a deal with Sundance Channel Global for The Red Road in multiple territories across Europe, North America and Latin America. The series will premiere on the Sundance Channel Global on April 24. Under the terms of the output deal, eOne handles international distribution for all original scripted series from U.S. based AMC Networks’ AMC and SundanceTV.
eOne also concluded deals for multiple seasons of Hell on Wheels to LoveFilm and Watchever in Germany as well as NOW in Russia, in addition to The Walking Dead for Media Access in Pakistan, RTL in French Belgium and TV Peretz in Russia.
