Paris – MIPTV has announced that Maurice Lévy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Publicis Groupe, will give a keynote address on April 8 as part of MIPTV’s Media Mastermind Keynote Series. Organised by Reed MIDEM, MIPTV will take place in Cannes, France, from April 7-10, 2014.

During his keynote address entitled “The Future of Content Is Digital”, Maurice Lévy will discuss how TV and advertising are increasingly facing common challenges, from how to create great content to retain viewer attention, to building and monetising an audience.
Under his stewardship, Publicis Groupe has been transformed into a global powerhouse of top creative advertising and marketing agencies, and is today a pioneer in digital and online communications.
Lévy has been awarded numerous accolades for his contributions to the communications and advertising industries, and his promotion of tolerance and diversity.
Since January 2014, he is the Chairman of the International Board of Governors (IBoG) of the Peres Center for Peace, and the first chairman of the MEI (Media, Entertainment and Information) Board, a division of the World Economic Forum.
Lévy’s keynote takes place on the eve of MIPTV’s first MIP Digital Fronts (9 & 10 April) which include showcases by founding partners YouTube and Maker Studios as well as presentations by creators and digital studios including: Fox Digital Studio, Vuguru, Smokebomb, What’s Trending, Pemberley Digital, Hoodlum, Jimmy Lee and SXM Productions. In addition to the entertainment industry executives, a host of brands and agencies have already confirmed their attendance at the MIP Digital Fronts, including Orangina-Schweppes, Jaguar Land Rover, Pernod Ricard – Jameson Whiskey, Vivaki, Affiperf, Havas Media, Dentsu-Aegis, Moxie and Group M.
US restaurant chain Chipotle Mexican Grill has been named MIPTV Brand of the Year in recognition of its original online series “Farmed and Dangerous”, produced with New York-based studio Piro, which will be presented as part of the MIP Digital Fronts.
