Paris – Method Animation’s popular animated series The Little Prince is now in its third season. PGS Entertainment is introducing Season 3 to broadcasters worldwide and has already lined up pre-sales with RTBF (Belgium), ABC (Australia), Télé-Québec (Quebec, Canada), DirectSight (Ukraine), TVo (Ontario, Canada), VRT (Belgium), LRT (Lithuania), RUV (Iceland), MTV3 (Finland), Workpoint TV (Thailand) and Discovery Latin America.
“The first two seasons of The Little Prince were sensationally successful, but this third season is truly special in that the selected designs from kids who participated in the drawing contest have been incoporated into the story and the animation itself,” commented Philippe Soutter, president of PGS Entertainment. “Method Animation has artfully translated these new ideas into the classic themes of the Little Prince for another installment of an ongoing and engaging, family-friendly tale.”
The Little Prince television series is currently airing in over 150 territories and has been the recipient of numerous industry honours, including the Best Animated Series, Best Music and Best Producer awards at the 2011 Pulcinella Awards and the Best 3D Entertainment Program at the 2012 International 3D Society Awards.
Aton Soumache, President of Method Animation, said: “This new season of the adventures of The Little Prince is a unique event. Inspired by Saint-Exupéry’s imaginative world, children from around the world have drawn their favorite planet to help their famous hero to find his way through the galaxy. By participating in the Little Prince’s journey and mission, children will have the feeling of sharing this rite-of-passage story with him, and that is a never-seen before experience for an animated series.”
The Little Prince is produced in association with France Télévisions, WDR, RAI Fiction, TSR, TV5 Monde, and Jeem TV.
