Venezuela – Venevision, a Cisneros Group company, has announced the debut of Miss Venezuela, Todo Por La Corona (Miss Venezuela, All For The Crown), which will be broadcast on Venevision, Sony Entertainment Television (SET) and the Univision network.
“I’m very pleased with the results of this co-production with Sony Entertainment Television. This is the first time Venevision-produced content will be able to be seen by audiences in all the countries of the Americas in the same week. The premiere of the programme will be on Venezuelan television, Venevision, and in Latin American countries via the Sony Entertainment Television’s signal. The U.S. Hispanic market can also enjoy the show, which will enter their homes through the Univision network. Miss Venezuela, Todo Por La Corona will definitely mark a new era in Latin American television,” emphasised Jonathan Blum, Vice President & General Manager of Venevision.
The series consists of 15 one-hour episodes divided into three stages: “El Casting” (The Casting), where the programme will travel through the Venezuelan geography in search of the top 50 candidates; “De Aspirantes a Misses” (From Candidates To Misses), a phase during which the 24 contestants will be selected and assigned the coveted sash that allows them to stay in the famous official housing and Quinta Rosada; “Camino a la Corona” (Quest For The Crown), where the contestants are groomed, rehearse for the galas, and undergo tougher testing and training in order to become the next representatives of Venezuela.
Viviana Gibelli, who was also Miss Monagas in 1985, will host the series alongside a group of experts including Gisselle Reyes (catwalk instructor), Richard Linares (fitness trainer) and Jose Rafael Briceño (oratory professor).
