According to Thomson Reuters Westlaw, CT Corp, an investment holding company controlled by Tanjung, is in discussion with Indonesia’s biggest telecom firm, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom), to buy the stake in Telkomvision, Telkom said in a statement. According to sources with knowledge of the deal, the deal is expected to be worth less than $100 million.
“This will unlock the value for Telkom and its shareholders and it can focus on its core business,” said one of the two sources, both of whom declined to be named as the details were still confidential.
The report adds that a Telkom spokesperson said that discussions were in the early stages and were expected to be completed over the next few months.
