Singapore – Katsuhiko Waza has been appointed Non Executive Director of BBC World News Japan.
Waza served as President of BBC Worldwide Japan from its creation in 2000 until his retirement in 2011. As President of BBC Worldwide Japan, he was responsible for BBC Worldwide’s content distribution activity across television, DVD and digital platforms, as well as licensing in Japan.
Prior to joining BBC Worldwide, Waza worked for Mutsu Incorporated and then British Television Inc, both distributors of BBC Enterprises. He was appointed Vice President of British Television Inc in 1992 and President in 1995.
