London – The preschool channel JimJam has secured carriage on Telkomvision’s DTH, cable and upcoming IPTV platform in Indonesia, where the service is already available on AORA. A 24-hour version of the channel in English premieres on Telkomvision this month to more than 100,000 subscribers. This new deal follows the recently announced deal with Israel’s satellite platform yes. Since its launch in 2006, JimJam, a joint venture between HIT Entertainment and Chello Zone, has expanded into more than 50 territories, including Poland, Russia, Hungary, Greece, the Middle East and Singapore. “Indonesia is a key market for JimJam, so we are delighted to be signing this deal with Telkomvision,” said Maria Kassova, the regional director at Chello Zone Asia-Pacific. “As a key market, growing fast with huge potential, this is another great stride in JimJam’s Asia-Pacific expansion.”
