India’s public broadcaster Prasar Bharati has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Digital Television Russia, described as Russia’s leading pay-TV provider. Australia Network expands its reach in India
Australia’s international television channel, the Australia Network, will be available to an additional 25 million viewers in the Indian sub-continent later in November 2013. Doordarshan to increase satellite transmission
Prasar Bharati's terrestrial channel Doordarshan will be enhancing its satellite reach in North East India, according to The Economic Times. The report added that the network's terrestrial transmitters were being replaced by satellites and that the necessary infrastructure for the switch will have to be set up in the region.
