Foxtel sees surge in subscribers, profit and ratings
Sydney- Dominant pay TV platform Foxtel posted a pre-tax profit of $A76 million in the year ending June 30, up from last year’s maiden $A4 million profit, as revenues climbed to $A1.42 billion. i-Cable secures Internet and mobile TV rights to Beijing Olympics
Hong Kong- The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has awarded the Hong Kong internet and mobile TV rights to the Beijing Olympics to Wharf TV's i-Cable Sports Limited. i-Cable Sports Limited also acquired exclusive Hong Kong rights across all media platforms for the Olympic Games in Vancouver in 2010 and London in 2012.
