Los Angeles- Fox International Channels has acquired a major stake in BabyTV, a TV channel for infants and toddlers under three. Following the acquisition, BabyTV will feature as a core channel among FIC’s offerings, adding to FOX, FOX Life, FOX Crime, FX, and National Geographic channels. First launched in Israel in 2003, the 24/7 commercial free channel is currently carried by more than 75 platforms in over 50 countries worldwide. Produced by a team of content experts and child psychologists, BabyTV has created more than 60 specialized series for 3-and-under that is already airing on the channel, while over 30 series are currently in production. BabyTV’s position as a service and content provider are in line with FIC’s growth as a vertically integrated business, with the channel expected to benefit from FIC’s worldwide infrastructure of 29 regional offices and promotional outlets. BabyTV founder Liran Talit, having led BabyTV’s international expansion, will continue to head BabyTV as Managing Director. Ron Isaak, Co-Founder, will be Director of Programming for the channel.
