Singapore- The Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) of Singapore has named Rear Admiral (RADM) Ronnie Tay as CEO, effective Nov. 19 2007. He replaces Chan Yeng Kit, who served as CEO since January 2005. Tay was formerly Chief of Navy with the Singapore Armed Forces, where he led the naval force to adopt new technologies and fighting doctrines. Sydney--Investment firm Mariner Financial Limited has launched a take-over offer for Beyond International Limited, which values the Australian television producer-distributor at $A68.7 million ($US57.8 million). Mariner is offering $A1.15 per share, a 25% premium over Beyond's last sale price.
