Beijing - The number of digital cable TV subscribers in China jumped to 12.66 million last year, up 200% from 2005's 4.13 million, according to the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television. SMG partners Nielsen to measure and develop new media in China
Shanghai - Shanghai Media Group (SMG) and The Nielsen Company (Nielsen) are collaborating to measure usage of outdoor media and the internet, as well as the development of new media technology in China. The partners aim to bring international expertise and media technologies to the Chinese media and entertainment markets. Singapore - The Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) is conducting its first triennial review of the Media Market Conduct Code and is seeking public feedback. Hong Kong – Synovate has released its first full-year Media Atlas survey results – covering over 6,000 respondents aged 15-64. Some 98.4% of respondents had watched TV within the past week.
