BBC delivers more to Asia

CASBAA/Hong Kong - Jana Bennett, President Worldwide Networks and global BBC iPlayer, has shared latest plans to launch BBC branded channels in Thailand in early 2012. In her first appearance at CASBAA, Bennett will also officially unveil new channel launches in Taiwan and Indonesia. Hong Kong - FashionTV is extending its 3D programming for FashionTV H3D on AsiaSat 5 from December 1. Cannes – LI TV Holdings has inked its first deal with Sony Pictures Television to bring The Nate Berkus Show to Asia. London - Travel Channel International has debuted on screens in Australia with fetchtv. Scott Larson, CEO of fetchtv, said TC would add an extra splash of travel and adventure to the already strong content line up available on the new IPTV provider. Singapore – Starhub presented FooD.I.Y, a new application that, as its name suggests, allows users to access a library of recipes from world renowned chefs like Jamie Oliver, Paula Deen, Luke Nguyen and Rachael Ray who feature on StarHub TV’s food/lifestyle channels.
