The BBC has announced that Paul Dempsey will become interim CEO of BBC Worldwide from December until incoming CEO Tim Davie’s arrival next year. Tokyo – The Tokyo TV Forum, which made its debut last year, is returning this December to feature 25 documentary projects by Japanese producers, which will be presented to 30 decision makers from around the world. SES reports solid growth for 3Q12, YTD results
Satellite company SES has achieved total revenues of EUR1.36 billion for the first nine months of the year, up by 6.1% compared to the same period last year. On a constant FX basis, this figure was up by 1.6% despite the significant impact of the switch-off of analogue transmissions in Germany at the end of April. George Entwistle, who resigned on Saturday, November 10, from BBC as Director-General after just two months in the position, said in a statement that he is stepping down to take responsibility for what happened during the Newsnight broadcast on November 2, which aired an inaccurate interview segment with Steve Messham, an abuse victim who said a senior political figure of the time had abused him.
