SPENA announces Q2 rating results for AXN & Animax
Hong Kong - SPENA continued its run in Q2 with glowing viewership results for its two landmark channels across Asia. Q2 saw AXN experience strong viewership growth of 19%, with a 25% growth for the 6pm-1am primetime slots. Specifically, PMEB viewership jumped 13% for the full day and 19% for primetime, evidencing success in the channel's strategy of appealing to its target audience of the upscale and affluent. Hong Kong - SPE Networks - Asia (SPENA) has secured placement for AXN on all three IPTV platforms in Korea. Having debuted on Korea Telecom's Qook TV in November 2008, AXN is now also available on the basic package of LG Dacom's myLGtv (channel 33), as well as SK Broadband's broad&tv (channel 402). These agreements are part of AXN's expansion plans in Korea since it launched there in 2005.
