34th Japan Prize winners announced
Tokyo – The 34th Japan Prize, the international contest for educational TV programs, was presented at an awards ceremony at NHK Broadcasting Centre, Tokyo on Oct. 29. Selected from 187 submissions, the top prize, The Grand Prix Japan Prize, went to A Lesson in Discrimination by CBC Radio-Canada. Foxtel tunes up for American Idol
Sydney- Foxtel has snagged exclusive Australian broadcasting rights to American Idol from FremantleMedia, and the twice-weekly show will launch in mid-January on Fox8, aired within hours of its US premiere on Fox. Antrix leases Ku-Band capacity on MEASAT-3 for India’s DTH market
Kuala Lumpur - MEASAT Satellite Systems Sdn Bhd and Antrix Corporation Ltd, the commercial arm of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), have signed an agreement to lease Ku-Band capacity on the MEASAT-3 satellite.
