CNN reaches more upscale consumers across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, on TV and online than any other international media brand, according to results from the first Media Survey of Global Affluents (GEMS), launched today. Al Jazeera introduces new citizen contribution portal

Al Jazeera has launched a new citizen media sharing service. The network’s existing portal launched in 2008 at the start of the Arab uprisings. The new Sharek (Arabic for “share”) portal will operate a system of accreditation, which will distinguish reliable and regular submitters of content.
