Globo to broadcast FIFA World Cup matches in 4K
The first live 4K over the air transmission in Brazil will happen in the final match of the FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014. Globo will hold 4K ultra-high definition demonstrations of three matches of the tournament, in partnership with Sony. Scottsdale, Arizona – Worldwide VOD rentals (OTT and pay-TV operator), electronic sell-through (EST), and DVD/Blu-ray disc sales are expected to grow 40% from 2013 to 2019 – growing from US$30.6 billion in 2013 to over US$43 billion in 2019.
