ESPN STAR Sports comments on redundancy rumours
Singapore - A spokesman for ESPN STAR Sports has confirmed there have been some lay-offs in the networks' Singapore headquarters, but not 17 as has been reported. "As a result of our drive to improve operational efficiency across the organization, few roles have been made redundant and the number is much smaller than the reported number," he said. Singapore – Upon the expiration of BBC Worldwide Channels’ two-year exclusive agreement with SingTel mio TV, three channels will launch exclusively on StarHub TV.
