CNN International has won an Amnesty International Media award in the ‘International Television and Radio' category, for the documentary, World's Untold Stories: The Forgotten People. MediaCorp kicks off the 15th Shanghai TV Festival with sale of HD drama The Ultimatum
MediaCorp has sold the distribution rights of The Ultimatum, its first Chinese drama filmed entirely in HD, to Shanghai Dingli Film Cause Co., Ltd in China. The Ultimatum has also been sold to cable operators in Cambodia and Malaysia, and is expected to go on-air in August and September respectively this year. Australia - The Chairman of public broadcaster SBS, Carla Zampatti, has been appointed a Companion of the Order of Australia in this year's Queen's birthday honours list. Singapore – Upon the expiration of BBC Worldwide Channels’ two-year exclusive agreement with SingTel mio TV, three channels will launch exclusively on StarHub TV.
