BBC Director-General Mark Thompson announced that Roger Mosey, the BBC's current Director of London 2012, has been appointed Acting Director of BBC Vision. ABS-CBN claims top ratings position
ABS-CBN Corporation announced that it has topped TV ratings among urban and rural homes across the Philippines for the month of July. Data from Kantar Media reveal that ABS-CBN obtained an average national audience share of 42% for total day or a 12-point lead versus GMA’s 30%, which suffered a two-point decline in viewership last month. CCTV buys Chinese Olympic rights through 2016
London – The IOC said China Central Television (CCTV) has acquired broadcast rights to each Olympics in the next four-year cycle leading to the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games. This latest deal, covering all broadcast platforms, includes its home 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, hosted in Nanjing. The contract also covers the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, and the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway.
