James Ross, ITV Studios regional director for Asia, announced today he is leaving the company. Seoul – More than 300 documentary makers, producers and commissioning editors have descended on Seoul this week for the second annual Asian Side of the Doc. The four-day event, which debuted in Hong Kong last year, is organised by Sunny Side of the Doc (SSD) and Bang Singapore Pte Ltd. Asia gets a makeover
Endemol announced its long running worldwide hit Extreme Makeover: Home Edition has been commissioned for a local version in Asia. Associated Broadcasting Company in the Philippines has ordered a 12 episode first series of the format to run on local channel TV5. The show will be produced in Tagalog and will go out as monthly specials. This will be the first Asian version of the blockbuster format, which to date has been broadcast in 185 countries.
