Former BBC, ITV and Discovery Channel executive Phil Fairclough, has joined Natural History New Zealand to head up their US development and production operations. He will be based in Washington DC along with Shera Jenne and will work with New Zealand based execs Neil Harraway and Craig Meade. Fairclough’s role is to help grow NHNZ’s production portfolio and also stimulate business for the expanding group’s other production businesses, Aquavision in South Africa and Beach House Pictures in Singapore. “We are thrilled to have Phil’s talent, energy, experience and connections to help to boost our expanding production businesses, especially in the US,” said NHNZ CEO Michael Stedman. Previously Fairclough was Senior VP of Production at Discovery Channel in the US; Head of ITV’s Granada Wild and he ran Wildvision, the acclaimed BBC Natural History Unit’s commercial production arm.
