Formula E and MNC Group announced a new broadcast partnership in Indonesia to air ABB FIA Formula E World Championship races live on free-to-air channel iNews and the first-ever Jakarta E-Prix on RCTI, the nation’s leading FTA TV.
Beginning this season, the new agreement will also see ABB FIA Formula E Championship races feature across MNC Group’s media portfolio of free-to-air, linear pay-TV channels and IPTV services including MNC Vision, MNC Play, and Vision+ TV plus internet-delivered services RCTI+ (AVOD Superapp) and Vision+ (SVOD Superapp).
Highlights will appear on RCTI and qualifying will appear on MNC Group’s online distribution platforms RCTI+ and Vision+.
Season 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship continues this weekend with Round 3 in Mexico City this Sunday from 4:30 a.m. Jakarta time.
The season began with the double-header of races around the walls of the UNESCO World Heritage site in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, on 28 and 29 January. Following Round 3 in Mexico City, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship will continue with the biggest-ever 16 race calendar in the centre of iconic world cities including Rome, Monaco, London, and New York, and for the first time, Jakarta, Vancouver, and Seoul.

By the conclusion Season 7 (2020/21), the live television audience made up the majority of Formula E’s global TV viewership (62%) for the first time in the Championship’s history. The cumulative audience increased to 316 million, a 32% y-o-y growth.
