Mr. Mukund Cairae, Chief Operating Officer – International Business at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL), announced the expanded role of Ms. Vibha Chopra to Head-Global Syndication & International Film Distribution at ZEEL.  She has taken over the global licensing and syndication profile in addition to her current role of leading the international film distribution business. “Global Content Hub by Zee” is the business arm of ZEEL which syndicates Zee’s premium television content portfolio of over 260,000 hours of programming along with its movie library worldwide.

 

Ms. Chopra is a complete entertainment professional who has risen through the ranks at ZEEL since 2006. She has gained multi-functional experience in Marketing, Distribution, Branding, Digital, Research, Strategy and Live Events and in a short time, Vibha has successfully been able to build ZEE into one of the most aggressive Studios in the domain of distributing Indian films in global markets.

The Studio has become a frontrunner with films across different Indian languages like Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telegu, Malayalam and Punjabi. Over and above the conventional markets, Vibha has been successful in taking Indian films like Hindi Medium, Secret Superstar, MOM and Beyond the Clouds to markets like China and has also successfully opened new territories like that of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Netherlands, Russia and Poland amongst others.

An economist graduate with Masters in Business Administration from University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, Ms. Chopra has learnt through her experiences by living in various countries like Japan, Moscow, Cyprus, South Africa, USA and Canada which helped her to understand and adapt to diverse tastes and cultures.
