Something Special, the number one independent Seoul-based international Format agency CEO, Founder & Executive Producer Jin Woo Hwang & InSoon Kim, Co-CEO/Chief Business Officer have announced the company was awarded the prestigious Korea’s KODIT fund.
The Korea Credit Guarantee Fund (KODIT) runs a special fund for innovative startups, also known as the Little Penguin Program, which provides startups with nurturing and financial guarantees. They target Innovative startups founded within the past seven years that show high creativity and growth potential. Little Penguin (name) meaning: Represents how early-stage companies—like small penguins—will grow strong and eventually become global market leaders.
Hwang stated, “Something Special is honored that KODIT has recognized our company’s hard work, vast potential, and the fact that we are respected around the world by awarding us the prestigious KODIT fund. We have two shows currently in production for this Fall which will benefit greatly. Both are available as formats: Unforgettable Duet the heartwarming reality singing series about dementia & canine reality competition The Underdogs: Top Dog Project.

Unforgettable Duet — This emotional original unscripted series follows a dementia patient and a family member on a journey to remember, with a celebrity host and panel featuring a diverse group of beloved Korean entertainers whose deep musical insight and heartfelt reactions help guide viewers through each family’s emotional journey. Each episode is guided by a different renowned Korean singer termed the “Memory Singer” who takes the family member and patient on a trip down memory lane. The Underdogs: Top Dog Project — The Underdogs is a powerful transformation competition where rescued dogs and people marked by life’s hardships come together to prove that, with the right partner, even the forgotten can rise again.
