Ample Entertainment Launches Ample Originals YouTube Channel to Build Original Non-Fiction IP

August 7, 2026 by TVA Editor

Ample Entertainment, the Emmy Award-winning nonfiction studio behind premium storytelling for the global marketplace, has launched Ample Originals, a new YouTube destination for original documentaries, series, creator collaborations and companion content, now live here. The channel gives audiences an early look at its inaugural slate with exclusive previews available now, ahead of the August 7 premiere of Ample Investigates and the August 10 debut of Somebody Knows Something. Ample Originals marks the next evolution of the company’s multiplatform strategy, creating a dedicated destination to develop and launch original IP, experiment with new storytelling formats and build direct relationships with audiences alongside its work for leading broadcasters and streaming platforms.

Ample Investigates brings audiences a slate of original investigative documentary films that showcase the company’s signature approach to the genre, revisiting zeitgeisty crime stories through present-tense investigation, new revelations and unexpected characters. Building on the studio’s track record in investigative filmmaking (e.g. Amy Bradley is Missing, This is the Zodiac Speaking, Hollywood Demons) each film combines cinematic production value with storytelling designed for true-crime and mystery fans seeking fresh perspectives and a new way into stories they may think they already know. The slate reflects Ample’s broader approach to developing premium non-fiction IP that can originate, evolve and connect with audiences across multiple platforms.

Launching alongside Ample Investigates is Somebody Knows Something, a companion YouTube series extending the recently announced ABC News Studios television series of the same name, produced by Ample Entertainment. Premiering August 10 alongside the television debut, the YouTube series is hosted by true crime influencer and kidnapping survivor Kara Robinson Chamberlain (1.2 million TikTok followers), who also hosts the television series. Joined by special guests, she will recap the cases, investigations and conversations behind each episode through original digital content. The television series premieres August 10 on Freeform and streams the following day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the U.S.

“I’ve always wanted to build a platform that lets us bring original content directly to consumers that is curated, thoughtful, and high quality,” said Ari Mark, CEO, Ample Entertainment. “This channel gives us another way to expand the reach of our storytelling and create a home for original ideas at every stage of development. They allow us to experiment, collaborate with creators and build lasting communities around our work, all while complementing the premium programming we continue to produce for our broadcast and streaming partners. The audience is smart and they want to consume content that’s top shelf. We can offer that.”

The inaugural Ample Investigates slate includes:

Ample Investigates: The Isabella Gardner Museum Heist
When filmmakers meet the nephew of notorious mob boss Harry Winter, he makes a shocking confession about one of the most infamous art thefts in history. But after six months of filming, can they trust him?

Ample Investigates: The Murder of Seth Rich
What begins as a search for the truth behind the 2016 murder of Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich leads filmmakers into a complex world of conspiracy, misinformation and competing interests.

Ample Investigates: We Found Jimmy Hoffa
Investigative journalist Dan Moldea has devoted decades to finding former Teamsters president Jimmy Hoffa. The film follows him as he shares information with the FBI that he believes could finally help solve one of America’s greatest unsolved disappearances.

Ample Investigates: The Night Doctor
This three-part documentary follows the case of Dr. William Husel, who was accused by his former employer, Mount Carmel Hospital, of killing 34 patients.

Ample Entertainment is an Emmy Award-winning studio focused on premium nonfiction storytelling for the global marketplace. Led by CEO Ari Mark, the company develops and produces documentary series and films spanning investigative crime, history, culture and character-driven storytelling for leading platforms and broadcasters.

Recent projects include the hit Netflix documentary series Amy Bradley Is Missing and This Is the Zodiac Speaking, as well as The Invisible Pilot for HBO, Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy for Peacock and Hollywood Demons (Seasons 1 and 2) and its spin-off series Boy Band Confidential for HBO Max. Ample also produced the Emmy-nominated documentary Kangaroo Valley for Netflix and won an Emmy award for Outstanding Educational or Informational Series for the YouTube Originals series Could You Survive the Movies?.

Additional credits include Morimoto’s Sushi Master (Roku), The Queen of Versailles Reigns Again (Discovery+), Ancient Empires (History Channel), 9 Months with Courteney Cox (Meta), Cold Case Files (A&E), Cooper’s Treasure (Discovery Channel, produced with Amblin Television) and The Hungry Games (Peacock and Blue Ant Media).
