London – UK independent distributor NBDtv/DCD Media will offer documentaries, music shows and entertainment series at MIPTV 2008. Quest For The Lost Ark (1×90’) follows Professor Tudor Parfitt on his quest to find the lost Ark of the Covenant, an artifact containing the law tablets of Judaism, Christianity and Islam that disappeared from the Temple in Jerusalem. Affinity (1×90’), set in a women’s prison at Millibank in Victorian London, is a ghost story adapted by Andrew Davies from a Sarah Waters novel. The Real Elephant Man (1×60’) is a documentary following the work of Professor Xu, a Chinese doctor treating people suffering from neurofibroma and his success in treating Huang Chuncai. Beyond The Rave (1×85’) by Hammer Films is a contemporary vampire story set in England’s underground party scene and follows the last hours of freedom of British soldier, Ed, before he is posted to Iraq. Bridezillas – Series 6 (22×60’) centers on the problems brides-to-be face in the course of planning their wedding. Daily Cooks Challenge (20×30’) commissioned by ITV, watches chefs compete in a week in daily challenges to win over a celebrity guest judge each day. The Wild Chef (7 x 30’) follows master chef Martin Picard and his sous-chef Hugue Dufour road trip to discover new dishes. Rihanna Live (1×60’ or 90’) features live performances from the singer’s world tour. Take That: Live At The O2 Arena (1×60’ or 75’) presents dance routines, light shows and performance from British boyband Take That. Sugababes at the IndigO2 (1×60’) showcases the girl group’s performance at the one-off gig. McFly Live (1×60’ or 90’) features McFly’s live performances on their ‘Up Close and Personal’ tour. Fall Out Boy Live (1×60’/75’) captures the indie band’s performance at the Cricket Pavilion Stadium in Phoenix Arizona. Glastonbury 2008 (1×60’ or 120’ or 180’) features highlights from Glastonbury 2008, a rock festival with performances from rock, jazz, soul, hip-hop and world music artists. Secret Policeman’s Ball ’08 features the Amnesty International entertainment event shot live at the Royal Albert Hall, with sketches, music, stand-up and special extras, graced by entertainment stars. The Zombies (1 x 55’) presents the band performing its first music album live.
