Mediaproxy, the global standard for software-based IP compliance solutions, will again have a high profile at the biggest broadcast and media exhibition in its home market, METexpo 2024. This year the spotlight will be on the multi-format, multi-standard capabilities of the LogServer logging and analysis system as well as monitoring by exception through the Monwall multiviewer.
Organized every two years by SMPTE Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific, METexpo highlights the latest in broadcast, streaming and media technologies for the vibrant and expanding Asia-Pacific region. It attracts exhibitors and visitors from around the world but is a particular showcase for local Australian companies.
As a leading supplier of compliance monitoring technology to Australian broadcasters, OTT platforms and playout facilities, Mediaproxy is a regular exhibitor at METexpo. The company’s main logging and analysis system is LogServer, which, together with the Monwall multiviewer, is the most trusted solution by TV broadcasters and streaming services in Australia.
The latest version of LogServer will be on show during METexpo, with demonstrations of its ability to run from the cloud as well as clustering decentralized systems on IP networks. LogServer will also be running in conjunction with Monwall, with the two products delivering exception-based monitoring. This works by only displaying a channel on a Monwall screen when LogServer detects a fault, which frees operators from having to constantly watch multiple program outputs.
LogServer also conforms to the main standards being used by broadcasters and streamers today, including SMPTE ST 2110 and 4K HDR, for the transport of media over IP networks, and SCTE, which covers dynamic ad insertion. Through adherence to these standards, LogServer is able to offer enhanced compliance recording and monitoring functionality, allowing its users to meet regulatory requirements along the entire IP chain.
“We are looking forward to being back in Sydney for METexpo 2024,” comments Mediaproxy’s chief executive, Erik Otto. “This year’s event is particularly exciting because it is being held at the Royal Randwick, which is not only one of Australia’s most famous race courses but also a highly regarded venue and social center. We hope to welcome customers old and new to such a prestigious place to see the latest features of our LogServer and Monwall systems.”
