Abacus Media Rights secures sales of almost 400 hours of programming to Australia and New Zealand

Abacus Media Rights (AMR), an Amcomri Entertainment Company, has confirmed the UK-based distributor has sold almost 400 hours of content to leading broadcasters and platforms throughout Australia and New Zealand. 

SBS Australia has secured the brand-new documentary series The Rise and Fall of Boris Becker (w/t), This Is Joan Collins; Ross Kemp: Shipwreck Treasure Hunters S1, Philip: Prince, Husband, Father; Could Hitler Have Been Stopped? The Politics of Appeasement, Vikings: The Rise and Fall, New Zealand From A Train, Mariupol: The People’s Story, Peter O’Toole: Along the Sky Road to Aqaba, Jeremy Pang’s Asian Kitchen, Adrian Dunbar’s: My Ireland S2, Royal Autopsy, Costco: Is It Really Worth It?, 30 Greatest Moments: Adele and Queens That Changed the World. 

Foxtel confirms broadcast rights for Australia and New Zealand for Grand Tours of Scotland S1-S3; Kokoda – The Spirit Lives; Waterloo’s Warriors; After Braveheart; Grand Tours of the Scottish Isles S1-S4; Antarctica: A Year on Ice; Science and the Ultimate Question; The Man Who Destroyed Oscar Wilde; Nicholas and Alexandra: The Letters; Frank Lloyd Wright: The Man Who Built America and WWII: The Price of Empire. 

Additionally, Madman Entertainment has acquired The Man Putin Couldn’t Kill; The Fire Within: A Requiem for Katia and Maurice Krafft; I, Hostage; Rich and Acquitted; The Beatles: Made on Merseyside; USS Indianapolis: The Legacy; Battle Honours; Inside the Mind; Margaret Atwood: A Word After a Word is Power; Above the Best and Back in Time for Australia and New Zealand.  Warner Bros Discovery New Zealand has acquired Maxine and TVNZ will air Married to a Psychopath; 30 Greatest Moments: Adele and Line of Duty S1-S5. Acorn TV has acquired drama series Deadline for Australia and New Zealand.  

Escape From Kabul; Hollywood Bulldogs; Killing Escobar; Last Man Standing: Suge Knight and the Murders of Biggie & Tupac; Dying Laughing; Reel Britannia; Prisoner C33; Falklands: Island of Secrets; Animation Outlaws; Cavern Club: The Beat Goes On and Girl, Taken have been sold to Rialto TV New Zealand and Sky New Zealand has acquired Wonderland; The Art of the Garden; The Art of Architecture; The Boy Who Can’t Stop Dancing and How to Paint the Mona Lisa.  

Further sales to Australia include Escape from Kabul to Paramount Australia; Maxine; Line of Duty S1-S5; United, The Great Train Robbery and Prince Philip: An Extraordinary Life to Britbox; Evolve to ABC Australia and also to BBC Studios Australia for New Zealand; Married to a Psychopath to Nine Network Australia and Sort Of S2; Brazil 2022: The Real Story; Leaving Neverland; Body Hack 3.0; Line of Duty S1-S5; Bletchley Circle S1 & S2, Rules of Engagement and Dating Death to Stan Entertainment Pty Ltd.
