MIP China Hangzhou
MIP China Hangzhou will be launched in partnership with China Media Management Inc (CMM-I), official representative for MIPTV and MIPCOM in China and Zhejiang MegaMedia, organiser of the Zhejiang of the Zhejiang Provincial Pavilion at the MIP markets in Cannes. MIP China Hangzhou scheduled from 23 to 25 May 2017 in Hangzhou. Hangzhou is known as the beautiful East Coast city that hosted the recent G20 Summit. MIP China Hangzhou is dedicated to increase content development between the Chinese and international production companies as well as to provide a comprehensive educational forum for Chinese media professionals to recognise international TV markets and trends. MIP China Hangzhou is a high-level summit with two components in one event. The first component is the Partnership Forum which will gather leading executives from up to 40 international television production and distribution companies with 40 senior level Chinese media executives for one-to-one meetings. The oneto- one setting aims to forge global co-development and co-production between these international and Chinese representatives. The attendees of the Partnership Forum will also have the opportunity to visit production studios based in and around Hangzhou.
Recent launches
Tencent is using LiveU’s portable transmission technology to stream its innovative new reality series live. The new reality series is called See where you are going. The live online programme follows Olympic champions, movie stars and random guests in six cities around China (Suzhou, Hangzhou, Beijing, Tianjin, Qingdao and Shenzhen) as they perform various tasks. Tencent has deployed 10 LU200s, LiveU’s ultra-small transmission units, for the live production. Separate camera crews live stream the different stars in the different locations and viewers can choose one of six different video rooms to watch the video live on any device. At the end of each programme, Tencent posts an edited version combining all the various clips online. The LiveU units and support are provided by LiveU’s local partner Guanhua Glory (GHG) AV system Ltd, a long-standing supplier to Tencent, with additional support provided by Oneband Systems, an additional LiveU partner.

Take Me There Guizhou is accompanied by a three-month branded content partnership established by CNN International Commercial (CNNIC) and Guizhou. This is part of an exclusive campaign on CNN TV and digital as Guizhou aims to reach international travellers by unveiling the hidden beauty of China. The QYOU has announced a milestone partnership with China Entertainment Group to distribute curated content to China’s leading online video platforms, including YouKu, Tencent, LeTV and Weibo. The deal marks The QYOU’s launch into the Chinese market. With curation performed by experienced Chinese video producers, plus translation into Mandarin and distribution via online video platforms, China Entertainment Group is the perfect partner to localize The QYOU. This move provides Chinese audiences with new and undiscovered global content and brings new online video trends to the region. It is aimed at a young and engaged millennial audience who increasingly access online content from their smart devices.
