The Gran Plan
activeTV have picked up Armoza’s comedic factual format The Gran Plan for production in Australia, Singapore, India and the Philippines. The life coaching show was earlier this year commissioned by leading Finnish broadcaster MTV3, who are in production for a celebrity adaptation, as well as being acquired by top commercial broadcaster REN TV.
This new deal with activeTV marks the first time that Armoza will be entering the Philippines and Singapore markets, and follows on from a focus on the Asia region. Armoza have inked new deals with Thailand and Vietnam, and CEO Avi Armoza will be heading to ATF to continue this focus.
The Gran Plan (60’) is the humorous factual entertainment show produced by Artza Productions in cooperation with Channel 10, Israel. The format features the new-generation of life coachers: a trio of grandmas! In each episode, the three strong-willed grannies tackle situations from first dates to last dates, from career struggles to unhealthy addictions. They bridge the generation gap in their own hilarious way and force their young protégées to move on with their lives. The show also launched successfully on Israel’s Channel 10 and Switzerland’s TeleZueri and TV24.
“The Gran Plan is a hilarious, heart-warming series from Armoza Formats that we obviously feel will be warmly received in our selected territories, especially as it cleverly bridges the generation gap,” said Michael McKay, President of activeTV, who was quick to spot the format at the recent MIPCOM TV market in Cannes. “I saw these three Grans and I fell in love…with the series”
Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, “‘The Gran Plan’ combines a popular genre with a funny and unique twist of 3 grandmas with very strong and distinct personalities who are not scared to give advice, tapping in to a very real and relatable truth. We’re thrilled to be strengthening our relationship with activeTV and to be working with them on this format.”
