London – Independent UK distributor Hat Trick International has closed a host of new deals globally for Outline Productions’ factual entertainment content, shipping new titles to Australia, the USA, Europe and Asia as part of its ongoing output deal with the renowned UK indie producer.
Ahead of its launch at MIPCOM 2014, Hat Trick International has signed a presale deal with Lifestyle in Australia for Tom Kerridge’s Best Ever, the new (6 x 30’) series produced by Outline for BBC2. Tom Kerridge’s Best Ever, which sees the Michelin-starred chef producing his own versions of classic dishes, follows the hugely successful Tom Kerridge’s Proper Pub Food, which has also sold to Lifestyle in Australia as well as Cooking Channel in the USA. Other broadcasters to have picked up the series include HRT (Croatia), AMC (Central and Eastern Europe), Ananey (Israel), Choice (New Zealand), Viasat (Norway and Sweden) and Cineplex (Thailand).
In further deals, series one and two of Outline’s Garden Revival, also produced for BBC2, have sold to Lifestyle (Australia), TV2 (Denmark), RTL Living (Germany), AMC (Central and Eastern Europe), Choice (New Zealand) and Canal+ (Poland). Totalling (20 x 60’), Garden Revival is a blend of social history and hands-on advice featuring the best of the UK’s gardening talent, including Monty Don, Charlie Dimmock, James Wong and Rachel de Thame, passionate gardening experts determined to preserve our rich horticultural heritage.
Sarah Tong, Director of Sales at Hat Trick International, commented, “Our partnership with Outline Productions has enabled us to add a wealth of internationally appealing factual entertainment content to our portfolio. Programming such as Tom Kerridge’s Proper Pub Food and Garden Revival offer an intelligent and inspiring take on topics which are national obsessions wherever you are in the world, and our international broadcasters have been quick to recognise the appeal of these new series. We’re looking forward to showcasing the new Tom Kerridge series at MIPCOM 2014 and are optimistic it’s going to be as successful as his first.”
