Russian commercial channel REN TV has commissioned new factual entertainment format That’s My House! from Armoza Formats and are now starting to work on producing the pilot. France’s Resevoir-Prod Groupe has also picked up the rights to the new format, marking Armoza’s sixth deal in France since this MIPTV.
That’s My House! is the winner of Formagination 2013, the Armoza-led annual Format Pitch Competition, which serves as an international launching pad for Israeli creativity. The next and fourth edition of Formagination will take place in Tel Aviv on July 16 as part of the MAD International Media Conference in cooperation with Globes, Israel’s leading financial newspaper.
That’s My House!
That’s My House! (30′) is the new competitive factual entertainment show that tests if you could guess who lives in a stranger’s house just from looking around. Three people claim to live in a house, but only one is telling the truth. As the contestant explores the house, the real home-owner and imposters will tell stories about their connection to the house in order to persuade us that it’s truly theirs. That’s My House! was developed by Artza Productions in cooperation with Armoza Formats. The two Israeli companies have also collaborated on the development of the factual entertainment format The Gran Plan, which last week launched successfully on Israel’s Channel 10 and this week on Switzerland’s TeleZueri and TV24.
Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats said, “That’s My House! is a unique take on the factual entertainment and lifestyle genres, not only allowing viewers to nosy around strangers’ houses, but also adding in the element of competition and reward. It’s based on the fact that we all judge people very quickly, yet how correct are our judgments? In addition, the imposters pretending to be the true home owner, all trying to undermine each other, makes for very funny viewing. That’s My House! is a highly adaptable format that can suit different prime time slots and is an engaging format that can be executed in a very simple way.”
