Armoza Formats has unveiled their full line-up of new shows that they will be bringing to MIPTV 2014. This year Armoza has continued growing their strategic partnerships with international broadcasters, and will be coming to the market with co-developments with Viasat and JSBC and acquisitions from Canada’s TVA. On top of this, representing their status as Israel’s leading independent formats company at MIPTV’s Focus on Israel, they will also be bringing five new original Israeli formats to MIPTV, two of which were finalists in the Armoza’s format competition, Formagination.
The full line-up comprises of nine new formats, ranging from prime time to daily stripped, game shows and drama, with their slate of new launches set to suit all types of broadcasters needs.
Celebrity Battle (90-120’) is the new prime time format where eight celebrity singer-producer duos compete to find the country’s Top Music Duo. Celebrity Battle aired on JSBC to top ratings and over 200 million viewers, and has already been recommissioned for a second season. Its launch at MIPTV marks the first time that a Chinese format has been distributed internationally and is the next stage in the Armoza and JSBC first-of-its kind collaboration, following on from the success of I Can Do That!.
Runway In My Closet (60′) is the daily stripped show that brings a new twist to fashion. Both men and women alike know the feeling of staring at a full closet and yet still having nothing to wear. What if there was a way to turn your fashion disasters into fashion sensations? In Runway In My Closet, each week three upcoming designers are challenged to turn shabby and worn items into chic outfits, competing against each other and putting their design skills to the test. Taking regular people as models and using old clothes from their “model’s” closet, they must create three different looks within a limited time and budget to win the grand prize. Developed in partnership with VIASAT3, Hungary, the show is set to air on TV3 in April.

That’s My House! (30′) is the new competitive factual entertainment show that tests if you could guess who lives in a stranger’s house just from looking around. Three people claim to live in a house, but only one is telling the truth. That’s My House! was developed by Artza Productions and the winner of Formagination 2013, who also produced Couch Diaries, which has broken viewership records in Israel on HOT TV; The Gran Plan, which was picked up in over 20 countries; and How To Be, which recently aired in Sweden on TV3 and was voted ‘Most Innovative Format’ in Ned3’s TV-Lab project.
Who’s Asking? (30-60′) is the fresh format that puts a new face to studio game shows. In this game show it’s not about what the question is, but who asks it. In a game show where looks do matter, the contestants must follow their intuition to the grand prize. Who’s Asking? was developed by United Studios, who also produced factual help-o-tainment format House Call which was recently commissioned by China’s CCTV, and fun ambush game show Special Delivery currently on air on Brazil’s Rede Record.
