Los Angeles – Mandopop singer Geng HAN, who was previously a part of the South Korean boyband Super Junior, emerged victorious at Nickelodeon’s 26th Kids’ Choice Awards (KCA). Han was nominated under the Favourite Asian Act category, where he beat favourites such as Psy of South Korea, Shila Amzah of Malaysia and Sarah Geronimo of the Philippines.
This was the first time that a nominee from China has been included in the Favorite Asian Act category.
The KCA, hosted by actor Josh Duhamel, gave children the choice to vote and honour their favourites from the worlds of film, music, sports and television. A record-breaking 387 million votes were cast in 10-days from around the world in 23 different categories. The awards was televised in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia on March 25.
