Armoza Formats’ scripted drama The Ran Quadruplets, which aired for two seasons on Israeli satcaster YES, is in development at CBS, in partnership with CBS TV Studios and showrunner David Marshall Grant.
This is the second time that the Israeli drama is going into development with CBS, which piloted the format during the 2009-2010 season under the name Quinn-Tuplets, with showrunner Mike Kelley scripting.
The new adaptation will have the original Israeli format, which follows four adult quadruplets who have been appearing on the nation’s TV screens since their birth due to a lifelong documentary project. CBS’s adaptation will feature a medical procedural element, in line with its current line of programming.
“The story of these quadruplets and their development throughout the Israeli series is a powerful one. We’re pleased to be partnering again with CBS TV Studios and CBS in another attempt to bring this incredible story to American TV screens. With David’s vision for the show and CBS’s support, we hope to have a great pilot and a pickup for this wonderful show,” says Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats.
Armoza is executive producing with Grant, Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, Yona Wiesenthal, Eilon Ratzkovsky, Giyora Yahalom (Israeli series creator), Oren Jakobi (Israeli series creator), Intrigue’s Tariq Jalil and Arik Kneller. CBS TV Studios and Timberman-Beverly produce with Yes and July-August Productions, the original Israeli series producer. Armoza Formats distributes the format and the finished series worldwide.
