Season two of The Walking Dead is resuming exclusively on Fox Movies Premium in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia on March 9. The news comes with the added confirmation that the series will be back with a third season later this year, consisting of 16 episodes.

In Asia, the season two premiere on Star Movies (the channel has since been changed to FOX Movies Premium) last October made the channel the number one rated cable channel in Singapore and the number one rated Western movie cable channel in Malaysia, according to Nielsen Media Singapore and Kantar Media Malaysia.

The show is an FIC original production, co-produced with AMC, allowing the network control over the content windowing globally. 

Based on the comic book story written by Robert Kirkman, who is also co-executive producer of the TV series, The Walking Dead tells the story of the months and years after a zombie apocalypse. It follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home.
