Cannes – Scripps Networks International announced that Food Network Asia is making its debut in Indonesia this October. The lifestyle channel will launch in high-definition (HD) on Indonesian Direct-to-Home (DTH) satellite service, aora, on channel 840. Hud Woodle, Acting General Manager of Food Network Asia, said the latest deal, the channel’s fifth launch in Asia, marks the network’s continued expansion in the region, where it is currently distributed in Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia and Taiwan. Additionally, Food Network will be available in HD on Portugal’s ZON Multimedia starting 10 October, available to all ZON HD pack digital subscribers. Currently, the channel is already carried on Portugal Telecom as well as through Vodafone’s Casa IPTV channel.
