Kuala Lumpur – Measat Satellite Systems Sdn. Bhd. (Measat) has successfully brought Measat-2 back into operational service at 148°E. Measat-2 provides inclined capacity across the South East Asia and Oceanic regions, and the 148°E orbital slot is a key location for wide coverage. The spacecraft, which was launched in 1996, is manufactured by Boeing Satellite Systems. It is a hybrid satellite with C-band and Ku-band transponders.
