Celestial Pictures, the Chinese motion picture company and operator of regional pay-TV channels, announced today the appointment of Jeffrey Soong as Managing Director of its newly opened Taiwan office. Celestial Pictures will utilize a local presence in Taiwan to expand the distribution of its channels, develop film and TV series co-productions, explore new media licensing opportunities and raise its profile in Taiwan’s entertainment scene. Jeffrey Soong will lead the Taiwan operation and work closely with Celestial’s management team in its Hong Kong headquarters as well as its Beijing branch office to achieve the company’s strategic goals. He will report to Ross Pollack, CEO of Celestial Pictures.
