MIPCOM, Cannes – Disney-ABC International Television (DAIT) Asia Pacific has renewed a multi-year deal with Media Prima Berhad in Malaysia. This agreement will see DAIT’s programmes air on TV3, as well as NTV7 and 8TV. In addition to the licensing of current features, live action and Disney animated TV series the agreement will also include a commitment for Disney Channel original movies and ABC Family TV movies. Under this agreement, viewers in Malaysia will be able to enjoy a range of live action TV series from ABC Studios, which includes FlashForward, Grey’s Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. Media Prima will also have first-run broadcast in Malaysia (prior to any other television channels) of Ghost Whisperer and Private Practice. In addition, DAIT has concluded a multi-year deal with Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd for a selection of live action series which includes Private Practice, Grey’s Anatomy, Gary Unmarried, Brothers and Sisters and the long-running America’s Funniest Home Videos.
