Los Angeles – Hasbro Studios today announced it has reached new deals with major broadcasters in South Korea and Hong Kong. South Korea public broadcaster EBS has picked up Transformers Prime, an animated series based on the Transformers’ brand, as part of its continued drive to acquire primetime programming aimed at an older kids’ audience. TVA Exclusive: Dancing With the Stars foxtrots to South Korea debut
South Korea is the latest country to licence the record-breaking TV format, Dancing with the Stars, from BBC Worldwide. This is BBC Worldwide’s first format sale to South Korea. The licensee is MBC Plus Media – a subsidiary of MBC – which operates multiple pay TV channels in Korea. International news channel Euronews has launched on Qrix's IPTV platform in South Korea, where it is available in eight languages. Qrix's IPTV platform reaches 140,000 subscribers.
