SES-8 satellite successfully launches
Cape Canaveral, Florida – SES S.A. announces that the SES-8 satellite was successfully launched into space from the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral. A Falcon 9 booster operated by SpaceX successfully injected the SES-8 satellite into geostationary transfer orbit, 31 minutes after lift-off, in what was SES’s maiden use of a SpaceX/ Falcon 9 rocket. SES-3 relocates to Asia
Singapore – SES S.A. announced that the SES-3 satellite is being relocated from its former location over North America to Asia, an area experiencing great demand for the satellite’s capacity.
