STAR India completes sale of stake in STAR CJ to Providence Equity

Star HS, an affiliate of STAR India, has completed the sale of its 50 percent stake in STAR CJ Network India, the home shopping joint venture with Korea’s CJ O Shopping Co. P5 Asia Holding Investments (Mauritius), a group company of Providence Equity Partners, has acquired STAR’s 50 per cent stake in the venture. Hulu’s CEO Jason Kilar resigns

Hulu’s Founding Chief Executive, Jason Kilar, has announced on Hulu’s blog that he will be stepping down from his role in the next three months. The New York Times reported that his departure comes just several months after Providence Equity Partners, the only independent owner of Hulu, sold its 10%  stake originally bought for US$100 million, for US$200 million. Hulu, the US catch-up TV portal is no longer up for sale. In a joint statement from its owners News Corp., Providence Equity Partners, The Walt Disney Company and the Hulu senior management team, the company said the sale process had been terminated. “Our focus now rests solely on ensuring that our efforts as owners contribute in a meaningful way to the exciting future that lies ahead for Hulu.” The partners said they looked forward to working together towards greater success. … [Read more...] about No go for Hulu
