Taiwan’s NCC to subsidise digital cable TV services
The Taipei Times reported yesterday that the National Communications Commission (NCC) will be employing the Cable Broadcasting Enterprise Development Fund this year to subsidise cable service operators with the intention to provide digital cable services. Taiwan issues new TV licences
Two new terrestrial television licences have been issued by Taiwan's National Communications Commission (NCC). One of the licences will be for a commercial broadcaster, while the other will be for a commercial-free station airing public interest programmes.
