Foxtel tunes up for American Idol
Sydney- Foxtel has snagged exclusive Australian broadcasting rights to American Idol from FremantleMedia, and the twice-weekly show will launch in mid-January on Fox8, aired within hours of its US premiere on Fox. Network Ten, the home of Australian Idol, screened series 3, 4 and 5 of American Idol but elected not to take up an option for the new series. Singapore – MediaCorp’s general entertainment Hi-Definition channel HD5, the first on terrestrial TV in Southeast Asia, will launch on Nov. 11 2007, following a trial initiated in June 2006. America’s Got Talent catches a Star
STAR TV has clinched pan-regional rights for the Asia Pacific to America’s Got Talent, including exclusive rights in India.
