BBC Director-General Mark Thompson announced that Roger Mosey, the BBC's current Director of London 2012, has been appointed Acting Director of BBC Vision. In an email to BBC staff, Thompson said Mosey will assume his new position on August 20. Dave Gordon, currently the head of major events at BBC Sport, will take over Mosey’s role as Director. A top sports official from Hong Kong has written to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to raise his concerns after a deal to air the London Games on a free-to-air channel fell apart. BBC launches live interactive video player ahead of London 2012 Olympic Games
